I had travelled to UK under Tier 2 ICT long term visa catergory. My visa was issued for a period of just 3 months from Jan 13 -- May 2013 inspite of long term category.
T2 ICT LTS visas are issued for 3 years + 1 month or the length of the employment as stated in the Cos+ 1 month, whichever the shorter. Check what period of employment was stated in your CoS.
I checked the CoS application and the work dates were mentioned for 3 months. From Jan 2013 --- April 2013 and visa was issued till May 2013.
Due to my project requirements i had to travel back to India on March 30th 2013?
Now i need to again travel back to UK for project requirements.

Will cooling off period be applied in this case even though the visa was granted for just 3 months and I was in UK for 50 days.
yes, cooling off will apply unless there was a mistake in the visa expiry date (see above) in which case it can probably be corrected.
When can my employer again apply for fresh Cos under same ICT Tier 2 long term category.
If cooling off applies (see above) you can only apply for entry clearance no earlier than 30 March 2014 and the sponsor should not assign a CoS earlier than 3 month before that date. This is because CoSs are only valid for use for 3 months.
Is there any other visa category in which i can travel to UK or i have to wait till completion of cooling off period until my company can apply for a fresh CoS under Tier 2 ICT Long term category.
The only category visa you could get would be as business visitor but the activities you can engage in with a business visitor visa are very limited and you could certainly not "work". See:
