T2 ICT Long Term to T2 General

Hi,

I came to UK in March 2011 on T2 ICT Established staff for 2 years. I've extended my visa in 2013 for 2 more years. The new visa type is T2 ICT Long term.

1. Can I change my Visa to T2 General from different company (as my T2 ICT issued before 6th April 2011)?

2. If I get T2 General from other different company, do I need to quit my current company immediately or can I have 1-2 months notice period with current company?

3. Once I'm in T2 General, am I eligible for PR after March 2016 (If I stay in UK from March 2011 [2011 to 2013 on ICT ES and 2013 to till date ICT LT and T2 General till 2016] to 2016 and complete 5 years of stay?

4. If I'm not eligible for PR, how long I can stay in UK on T2 General?

yes, provided you have a CoS from a new sponsor

no, you don't have to quit immediately. You can work in your present job until the work start date given in the new CoS which can be determined to suit the notice period in your present job. However, you shouldn't give notice until your application for leave to remain has been approved by the HO,

3. Once I'm in T2 General, am I eligible for PR after March 2016 (If I stay in UK from March 2011 [2011 to 2013 on ICT ES and 2013 to till date ICT LT and T2 General till 2016] to 2016 and complete 5 years of stay?
No, because your T2 ICT leave doesn't include a period before 6 April 2010.

4. If I'm not eligible for PR, how long I can stay in UK on T2 General?
Up to 6 years and you will be eligible to apply for ILR after 5 years but your salary must be at least £35k at the time

Does it mean, I'm eligible to apply for ILR just after March 2016 (as I came to UK on 2011 - 5 years continuous stay irrespective of my visa type) or 5 years after my T2 General visa? If I get T2 General in 2014, I can apply for ILR in 2019??? Please clarify.

Can I move on to Company C after a year or so from Company B? If yes, are there any further sponsorship / visa type changes required or just a job offer from Company C?

you can change employment as many times as you wish once your on T2G but each time you will need a new CoS

1. When I've extended my visa from T2 ICT Established Staff to T2 ICT LT, I didn't provide any bank balance statements. Do I need to maintain any bank balance in UK for T2 ICT LT to T2 General now? If yes how much? I've 3 dependents (wife and 2 children) .

2. For any reason, if my current company forced me to go back to India and I join to new company in India, can I come to UK on T2 General immediately or any cooling period applicable to me? Also do I need to be new company for minimum 1 year to get T2 General Visa from India?

If you return to India and join a new company you will be subject to cooling-off and cannot apply for T2 entry clearance for 12 months

under current rules you can apply to extend your visa from the UK for 2 years at a time (or the duration of the sponsorship, if shorter) as many times as you wish. For each extension you will need a new CoS.
