Can I register in UK for my UK born chid? urgent pls.

Post by Smkuk » Sun Nov 17, 2013 5:54 pm

Hi
I got British Citizenship now, but my both kids they were born in UK while I was on Tier 1 General visa. now currently they are living in India since 18 months. on FLR (M) 2 years visa with my wife.

1) can I apply there registration MN1 in UK while they are still in India.?

2) If yes please mention supporting documents I need to submit?

3) Is it compulsory to submit passprot (because i cannot bring there passports they are in India with them)?

1) Yes. This was possible since you obtained ILR.
2) original long birth certificate, your naturalisation certificate or British passport (you can send copies), marriage certificate if born before 2006.
3) passport is not a must. Either send photocopies or none.

You should be aware that if they don't travel out of India within 3 months of the approval of the application, you will need to surrender their passport in India or face fines later.

Thank you Jambo.

you are very kind,
please tell me also should I use NCS or Post office service to send the MN1 forms to HO for registration.
because when I called NCS they told me I have to include child passports as well? But in guidance Birth Certificate or Passport included.

please guide me what should I write in Form MN1
In Section 2 Residendial Requirements. 2.1 , 2.2 , 2.3 and 2.4
Is this mandetary fields for child born in UK but currently live in india.

Should my wife has to sign the Section 6: Consent to the Application.
As she is in India and I am applying MN1 in UK. or shall I tell her to Sign the Section 6 and post to me to UK.

* NCS are only service providers, not the decision maker. Tell them you don't have a passport but would like to apply anyway.

* Just fill in section 2. It will have no affect on the application.

* Better to get your wife's consent. Just ask her to sign the page and post it to you.
