ROA- Seniors please advice/Its urgent

Post by snowflake007 » Sun Nov 17, 2013 6:43 pm

Hi,

I have accquired british citizenship but my wife is still on indian passport/dependent visa and we have taken indian passport for my newborn son in Uk and eligible for both indian/british citizenship.

While filling the form for ROA(right of abode) I am facing difficulty, firstly the form is not getting uploaded and secondly there is a question about nationality for my son , which should be british citizen but there is no such option rather other options like british overseas citizen, british national overseas, british subject, british protected . Can anyone help with this.

We need to visit India in the next 20 days and are in panic mode for ROA still remains and our tickets booked.

Once we are back from our india visit, is it possible to get british passport now without going through the process of naturalization or registration for my son and then surrender the ROA and Indian passport? Not sure if we made a mistake by choosing Indian nationality for him...

many thanks

regards
