Normally it does get to the VFS within 1 Working Day and from there you should get it delivered to to ur place in less than a day. Am not sure if we can collect at VFS center.

Hi heyheyheyguys

First time I applied at VFS Chennai on march 5th and got rejected due to missing financial info on April 23rd and then reapplied at VFS Hyderabad on the 18th of May. Sent an email last Monday and got a msg saying that there are unfortunately no current updates at
present.

Hi All

I am fallowing all your posts from couple of days.
I am applying in next week for Settlement visa from Hyderabad .
My question is..Where we need to pay the IHS fee? There is no information in on-line application.
Also I did not find any option to pay IHS fee while I was paying for visa application fee.
Can we pay this fee in VFS centre?

I got this below message on the screen while I was trying to pay online using this link www.immigration-health-surcharge.service.gov.uk.
''You don't need to continue. You need to pay the IHS in your visa application if you're applying from outside the UK''.
Can any one please give me the reply ASAP.
Thanks

Hi Lead123

You need to pay the NHS Surcharge unless there may be an exception stated. Once you pay, u'll get a IHS Reference Number which u need to write on the front page of your application.
Also u need to get a print of the payment confirmation mail.

@Lead123,

For all the applications from 6th July on, process of paying IHS surcharge is changed. Now you do not need to log into IHS surcharge site to pay for the same. Instead, they made IHS payment as part of the Online application so when you launch your application you should see an option/way to pay the IHS surcharge.

Hope you unblocked with the issue.

When did you paid your IHS surcharge, is it before 5th of July or if not i am afraid that you have to pay again as per the information given at http://www.vfsglobal.co.uk/India/pdf/UK ... 290615.pdf

How did you paid your surcharge?

I think you might have continued with old version of online application which started before 5th of July if my guess is correct.

As per the information given at http://www.vfsglobal.co.uk/India/pdf/UK ... 290615.pdf you may need to start new online application where in you will see the option to pay IHS payment as part of the applicaiton itself. Check the information given at above link..

If you have appointment selected has bandwidth to refund, go for refund of application fee and also go for refund the IHS payment also which you paid using the old pattern.

Start a new online application and pay the IHS surcharge as part of the application..

Has anyone successfully claimed compensation from the UKVI for the lack of information they give during the application process? I think we ought to collectively start a petition and send it to our MPs.

No he wasn't but they said they would inform us once the decision is made. We are on day 50 today so it can't be too long now. I guess another 10 days. He was asked a lot of questions and I will post a list of possible interview questions that I found on the internet that we used to practice for anyone that may be invited for an interview. He was asked about 60-70% of these.

I guess it depends on the ECO you get...Mine asked me hardly 4-5 questions..However, I am on day 59...still no reply...tomorrow will be 60 days..so I guess they're not following standard timelines right now..

I think you may want to escalate on Thursday if you don't get a response. Although saying that my cousin got a response on the very last day so don't lose hope just yet. The fact that they say 60 days is a guideline and it can vary for each case lets them get away with a bit more. Have you emailed them to check the status lately? I'm sorry it's taking so long, I feel your pain as I feel like I've been waiting forever a day as well now.

Hi Geetl. . Yes I've emailed them, but you know how vague they are..They just say wait few days..Did your cousin have an interview as well?
