I need your kind advice and guidance.
My baby was born on 17th June 2013 in Oxford, UK. Since I am holding an Indian passport and have tier 2 visa, so applied for his indian passport.
I got the birth registration done from consulate general London as oxford comes under London area for registration purpose. I moved to Birmingham in the meantime due to job change and thus applied for passport at CGI Birmingham.

It's been over 6 weeks but the application hasn't progressed an inch. The officer at CGI Birmingham told me that they need to get confirmation from CGI London about the authenticity of birth registration. They haven't been successful in getting the confirmation in 6 weeks. Birmingham guys blame London office that they are not sending the confirmation and London office is saying that they haven't received any inquiry.
I was also told at CGI Birmingham that if I know some higher up then that will help in getting this done. SERIOUSLY GUYS???? Are we saying here that same ministry offices don't speak to one another and I have to pull some strings somewhere to get this done.
Unfortunate bit is that I don't know any one in High Commission.
What should I do? I need to go to India soon, but can't think of it until i get my baby's passport.
Any help/guidance would be wonderful.
