Hi everybody,
My name is Mohit. I am from India. My wife works in the UK (She is the main applicant here) with a valid Tier II General visa. I plan to apply for a dependent visa. The list of documents that I need for the visa application is mentioned below (this is what I could figure out by reading from the forum or from the UKBA website):
Her Documents:
1. Letter from her employer confirming her employment
2. Tenancy Agreement/Accomodation Proof
3. Copy of visa or BRP card
My documents:
1. Maintenance funds: Sufficient maintenance funds over GBP600 for over 3 months
Our Documents:
1. Marriage certificate: We plan to get a court marriage done and then apply for the visa ASAP.
2. Evidence of contact: Call records/emails and proof of trip to UK post my engagement, prior marriage
I have four queries:
1. Is there any document that I am missing??
2. Regarding Maintenance Funds: I have sufficient money in public provident funds/provident funds/National saving certificate. Would that suffice or do I need it my bank account??
3. My wife is in India for the past two month on leave to prepare for the wedding. She has therefore cancelled her current accomodation and will go back post the wedding. Therefore, she does not have a tenancy agreement in place. What alternatives do I have?
4. I read somewhere that she needs to fill an affidavit of sponsorship? Is that true?
Also, if possible, could you please mention the source for the above mentioned documents. I could only find information regarding maintenace funds on the UKBA website.
Awaiting your response. Many thanks in advance.
