ILR - Tier 2 WorkPermit - Clarification on the absence

Post by slekshminair » Mon Nov 18, 2013 5:07 pm

Hi

I am holding Tier 2 ICT Workpermit from 2008 Nov onwards. I have completed 5 years in UK and my visa is still valid until 2014 Nov.

I would like to know whether i am eligible for ILR, i have absences for more than 1.8 years.

I was in UK for the below duration
2008 Nov - 2009 Jan
2010 Apr - 2010 Dec
2011 Jan - 2013 Jan
2013 Sep - currently in UK

My employer is ready to provide the evidence of me working in India during the same period, serving the same customer.

Please advice, i am planning to approach First migration, as they are genuine solicitors.

So long as your absences are <180 days per 12 months period you should be ok and there should be no need to use a solicitor.

What was the reason for the extended absence?
