Date of Naturalization

Post by tdpff3 » Fri Apr 20, 2007 12:15 pm

After a successful application, from legal point of view, when is someone recognized as British Citizen:

- Is it the date on the naturalization certificate?
or
- Is it the date of ceremony when the certificate is awarded?
or
- Is it the date on the approval letter?

It is the date they are handed their Certificate of Naturalisation at their Citizenship Ceremony. That is the moment they become British.
