covering letter for 10year long residency!!!! HELP PLEASE

Hello guys i need help on writing a covering letter for 10 year long residency base because i have decided ro submitt case by myself my case is as follow:

FIRST STUDENT VISA STAMP (BEEN STUDENT 8 YEARS)= 12/02/2004

FIRST ENTRY IN UK = 16/02/2004

PSW EXPIRE = 11/01/2014

NOT EVEN ONE CRIMINAL OFFENCE 100% CLEAN HISTORY

AT THE MOMENT SELF-EMPLOYED

IF U SEE ABOVE FiGURE THN I HAVE 36 days gap to complete my lawfull 10 years but if i subtract 28 days (as we can apply before 28 days according to ukba law) thn i still have 8 days gap to complete my 10 years lawfull period. But still i will take a chance .Please guide me what should i have to write on covering letter please send me some patren as well , many many thanks all of you.
