Hi
I am an ACCA Affiliate. For those who don't know ACCA, it is a Chartered Certified Accounting qualification.
Being an ACCA Affiliate I have to abide by the Accountancy practicing rules set by ACCA before providing accountancy services and opening an accountancy business.
ACCA says that until I become a full member (fully qualified, which I am not), I can not open an Accountancy firm, which if I was able to do, it is NQF Level 6 (SOC 2010 - 2421: Chartered Certified Accountants).
However ACCA allow me to provide basic bookkeeping and record keeping work, which can be fit for one of the NQF Level 4 (SOC 2010 - 3537:Financial and accounting technicians).
Can anyone advise me on if I register my business as SOC 2010 - 3537:Financial and accounting technicians which is NQF Level 4, would it be fine?
I want to apply by the 10th of January 2013. Can I register by business anytime before making an application and provide all the required documents from Companies house or do I need to register it well before.
Finally, where to get started to research to show there is potential in the market for this service. If I start now, is it too late?
Any other information that brothers think should be helpful, please let me know.
I have read the policy guidance so don't need extensive information, but any practical problems that you have experienced and that may help me to get started.
Thanks in advance for the support
