Tier1 General Dependant VISA (wife) from India - HELP

Post by Durkri » Mon Dec 23, 2013 4:12 pm

Hi all,

I am Durkri from London on a Tier1 VISA for the past 2 years. I am getting married in the mid of Feb'13 in India. I need guidance / help on the documents / proofs for my wife's dependant VISA. I've collected info from my friends / UKBA website. But I need to know if they are all good / precise from the experts & Tier1 users here.

As a first thing just let me know if the following checklist is correct / missing any ( I've asked - ' ?? ' )

Documents from my side:

-Passport original
-Biometric / VISA
-Payslips ( 6 months ??
-Original Bank statements ( signed & sealed )- 90 days ?? I maintain £1600 + for the past 3 months.
-Employer certificate - required ??
-Tenancy agreement
-NOC from owner
-Utility/ electr bills etc - is this really important ??

Documents from my wife side:

-Passport original
-TB screening certificate
-Marriage certificate
-Marriage photos, letters, phone bills etc ??

One more big confusion about the accomodation proof is that as a Bachelor I was living with my friends in a property for the past 1.5 yrs. I dont have a tenancy agreement, NOC, utility bills in my name.
Can I get this from my owner ( not sure ?? ). But the bottomline is eventually I'll be shifting to a new house once my wife is here ( after marriage, VISA is all done , might be in the 1st or 2nd week of March )

So can I shift now to a new property ?? ( so that I get tenancy agreement, NOC, bills etc - hopefully , not sure ), but I have all my previous letters/ statements in my current address. I'll have only the last month payslip / bank statement for Feb in my new address ( once the change of address is done ).

Which one you guys suggest -

Getting the docs from my current owner OR Shift to a new house in Jan ( get docs from there ) and apply with all docs possibly what I get
( because I am not sure whether the new,old addresses will create a confusion / problem with the UKBA - payslips, statements in different addresses )

Actually some people say there is no need to produce accomodation proofs for adult ( wife ) dependant ???

Also do I need to get any employer reference letter ( living, working so & so etc )??? but that should not be a prob for me.

Please help me folks...with the info what I've provided and queries asked for. I know it's a big one indeed to read, but cant help to make it clear for you to explain my situation and get a precise help.

Thanks in advance for the experts, Tier1 gurus !

Thnx ursamyn for the reply,
Of course it's Feb 14. Marriage right ? Started to getting confused and it happens for every man.....lol

reg docs from my side
Employer certificate - required ?? ( Letter from current employer good to have, not necessary) - I can get it
-Tenancy agreement ( Good to have in your name on the current address) - you've said good to have - is it mandatory & need to be submitted ? or just to have. I dont have it as I stay in shared room & plan to move to a new house before or after marriage. Suppose if I do that, hopefully I can get the tenancy agreement, but the bank statements, payslips would be in my old address. Am worried abt the address issues. Pls shed some light on this
-NOC from owner ( Not needed)
-Utility/ electr bills etc - is this really important ?? ( Not needed)

BTW are you my same case before - applied for Tier1 dependant recently ? If so can you pls share your contact no privately so that we can chat.

Thnx
Durkri
