exit control in dublin?

Post by sagareva » Thu Dec 26, 2013 9:02 pm

Hi all,

those of you who have flown out of Dublin airport, is there any exit immigration checks there? or passport stamping on exit?

thanks

None that I saw after a year commuting weekly. That was from T1 which I think only does UK/EU flights but I could be wrong on that.

Last time was late August 2013, pretty sure you won't be checked, sometimes you could tell security was heightened, more stringent hand luggage checks, no passport control ever though other than plane operator checks as normal......

However if you enter Dublin you are checked, but coming over NI border or Ferry from UK you are 95% not checked.

What's your plan?

no plan yet ))

no ferry, starting point is belfast

the question about passport control relates generally to irish immigration, e.g. to the extent that it is possible to not get in trouble with gardai when flying out of dublin, because I do not have an irish visa (but should)

i am not asking about returning (obviously i'd have to have an irish visa to come back).
