How to change name ?plz help !!

Hello to all ..

Hope seniors can help me .. i am really worried as i dont know what to do . my problem is that i have applied for citizenship and now i have just got separated from my husband and thinking to file for divorce for some reason . My surname is on my husbands name and now i want to change it to my own name. how can i make this change on my new passport after getting citizenship ? it doesnt matter if citizenship is on my previous name but i just want my passport on my name now. plz help me . waiting for ur answer !

No verdict now though, most people say get a deed poll and then apply for passport with the new name, and attach deed poll.

I am going to do this for my wife in early April (hopefully), will update my experience on the group then.

Thats it ?? I mean i just have to get a deed poll and then apply it with british passport application ? i didnt understand that OCI thing is your case . how long it takes to change a name via deed poll? . i am kind of confused :/
would really appreciate more suggestion .

As far as I understand yeah. Dont worry about OCI, thats more for the other countries section.

You do not have to change your name on the naturalization certificate. Just when applying for passport you can get it your maiden name based on the deed poll.

I got to admit this is all speculation at the moment, I have not seen anyone in this group who has shared actual experience here I am afraid.
