Family Visa query

I would like to sponsor two family members to visit the UK but I only have 4 months pay slips.
Can I still apply or do I have to wait until I've been in employment for 6 months?

It got to be 6 months otherwise you are taking unnecessary risk.

Can I send photcopies of all my documents instead of the originals?

Also can you explain what the risks are if I send less than 6 months?
