Name Issue..Namesake!!!>>

Post by unileeds » Sun May 13, 2007 11:50 am

HI guys, Please have a look at my case at
http://immigrationboards.com/viewtopic.php?t=15502

Name on Degree,
I have notcied for my case is that my Graduate degree ie the one from mumbai has my name listed as
Farid RD Singh Singh

Where Farid is my first name and Singh is my last name and
RD Singh is my fathers name.

Where as my passing certificate from the University (also known as a Provisional degree) has Farid Singh RD Singh written on it. My 12th class certificates all have Name As Farid Singh and below that Fathers name as RD Singh.

Now my passport and all my other certificates have Farid SIngh as the listed name. Wondering if this will be an issue. Has anyone faced the similar problem with Mumbai Uni. I will highlight this in my covering letter but wondering if any one has had a rejection based on this!!!

As I am also getting my English language certificate from the UNI at mumbai, it will most probably have the same Farid RD Singh Singh written. Having said all this my MSc which is from the Uk and is my latest degree and my PhD registration are all under Farid SIngh.

Any Ideas!!!>???

hi Twisha, thanx for the link, but again no one has said anything on whether they got an approval or rejection in such a case. Looking forward to some opinions here as well.

regards

There are not many guys like us .... who have this issue.

I am also planning to apply this may end, lets see how it goes.

I have also mailed Home -Office for the same and they replied back stating for my case i need to submit the marriage certificate along with the application, and so i will also attach the email reply that i got from home office with my application .... its better if you also do the same and ask them directly via mail, so that you have some sort of written proof from them ...

ALL THE BEST

Thats true Twisha, but in your case you can get the marriage certificate. Unfortunately, I dont have an option as such. i dont think the UNi will re issue a degree. I will have to provide them with enough facts to make sure they dont have any doubts.

Other than that, is your an in country application?? If so are you going thru a consultant or something?? I really cant afford to spend a 1000 pounds on some consultant plus the HSMP fees.

I am planning to apply my own using this forum as i also dont have that much money ...

I will apply from india (out of country application).
But i really feel that getting an affidavit that explains the scenrio of you name is one option that you can go for.

Make sure that its is on a stam paper and is properly notorized .. and then explain the this case in the cover letter as well ... rest all is luck ..

You can only do whats in your hand

cheers
Twisha
