Tier 2 (G) Switching employer and ILR

Post by jaskamalman » Tue Jan 21, 2014 7:27 pm

Someone please help me. I may lose my job and i have to find find another employer in 5th year of Tier 2.

My first tier-2 visa was under old category issued in 2010 (salary around £2400) and extended it in 2013 and now valid until 2016. My job was and still is under shortage list of occupations.

I know new tier 2 category eligible ILR requires you to higher salary. So if I have to change my employer and receive same salary, am I still eligible for ILR?

If my new employer applies for a license two weeks after I lose my present job, how it’s going to effect my ILR application next year?

Once my new employer issues me a Cos, do we (me and wife) have to change our residency cards and pay for Tier 2 fee once again?

If I start my new job after receiving new Visa/residency card, there could be few moths gap between two jobs, will they count this time in my 5 years continues work for ILR?
Thanks
