how early to apply for Tier4 visa from within uk

I am inside UK. My visa is going to expire in April. I would like to apply tier 4 for course which is going to start in September?

Can I apply in March/April for a course which is going to start in sep/oct?

How early one can apply for tier 4 visa within UK?

If your course is starting in September and your visa is expiring in April then you have to go back to your home country and apply from there. On the policy guidance it has been clearly stated that 'your new course must start within 28 days of the expiry of your permission'
