T2ICT to T2G Maintenance Funds ! ...

Post by t2ict » Fri Jan 24, 2014 5:42 pm

Manci,

I'm in the UK in T2ICT since 2009 with the same employer and have received an offer & T2G unrestricted CoS from a new employer. The new employer hasn't ticked the maintenance fund option in the CoS. But, as per the UKBA rules, do i score 10 points automatically for the T2G application, if switching from any T2 category (i.e.,T2ICT in my case) ? Pls refer the UKBA link:
http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/visas ... intenance/

1. Could i proceed my application with the above case ?
2. Could the main applicant apply for T2G PEO and then the dependents to apply via Postal route ? (just to save some cost)

Thanks,
T2ICT

what is in the link you provided is quite clear:
You will also automatically score 10 points for maintenance if you are currently in the UK in one of the following immigration categories:
any Tier 2 category
....................

1. Could i proceed my application with the above case ?
yes
2. Could the main applicant apply for T2G PEO and then the dependents to apply via Postal route ? (just to save some cost)
you would be saving £231 per dependant this way but if you are not applying together they would have to show maintenance funds (unless your sponsor certifies maintenance for them)

Thanks,

Manci,

One more query to clarify Pls: If my dependents (i.e., two in my case) to apply for T2G in-country via postal route, i understand that either my sponsor certifies the maintenance in the CoS or £600 each will be required in the bank account for 90 days as a proof of support. Does this £600 required to be in the dependents' bank a/c or enough to be in the main applicant (£1200 only for two dependents) bank a/c for 90 days period ?

Please let me know. Thanks in advance.

the maintenance funds can be either in the applying dependant's or in the main applicant's account, or a combination of both
