Hi Everyone,
Sequel to my previous posts, which I got a lot of advise. I was served a removal notice by the UKBA with a right to appeal today under section 82(1). And was ordered to report to the police station every Friday.
SUMMARY
I came into the UK in 2007 with my x wife ( divorced in 2012 ) who at that time was a student and in the UK since 2005 ( 9 years to date ) We have a daughter who will be 7 next year.
We both applied for a TIER 1 work permit in 2008,( I her dependant on the application, despite I paid the bills )
The HO insisted if we got any job, we could ask the employer to call to verify our status , as our application was delayed for almost 2 years, I got an IT job for £30,000 and when they insisted on following up on the HO, the case worker advised my x wife to withdraw mine and approved hers in 2010 and failed to serve me any notice/explanation. Hence a solicitor reapplied for further leave to remain, which was refused in 2013 and eventually I was served a removal notice. Saying I have been living in the UK illegally since 2008.
I have an MSc and she has a PHD both in the UK.
I have never worked here, as since the error in 2008, I have patiently tried to resolve it with the UKBA, via my local MP, which has met nothing but rejections.
My x wife’s application is still pending her renewal and I have a contact order from the courts and in contact with my daughter.
What can I do ? As am appealing the removal notice. I have spoken to a couple of solicitors today.
Kindly advise on what you think and do I need to self represent or a solicitor, mckenzie friend or barrister ? I am told there are a few tribunal centres and am I allowed to choose as London is best for me ?
I find the whole thing so amusing. As I come from a respectable family and have been in and out of the UK since I was 2, through my teens and 20s and never once breached or intended to breach my immigration rights. And Not worked in the UK since 2007, despite being a very skilled Microsoft programmer with a dual UK MSc
Can you recommend a solicitor, barrister, mckenzie friend or do I self represent ?
Kindly advise
