Exemption from RMLT

Post by Femtim » Tue Mar 04, 2014 12:03 am

Hi Manci,

I have a question regarding exemption from 'Resident Labour Market Test'. I am currently on PSW dependent visa. My employer is willing to sponsor me for Tier 2 (General) visa. Though, I am going to continue my service for the same employer, I have to apply for entry clearance for Tier 2 from Home country (Switching from PSW dependent to Tier 2). My job is in 'Shortage Occupation List'. Do my employer have to advertise as proof of Labour market test? Thanks.

no, but make sure that the actual job for which you are being sponsored, not just the SOC code, is on the shortage occupation list
