UK Right Of Abode Schengen question

Would like to know if i am a british citizen and have a UK right of abode stamp in my foriegn passport, Can i use my foriegn passport to enter the schengen countries with only the Right of Abode stamp on it?

Do i have to apply for a schengen visa even with the right of abode stamp?

If the passport requires a Schengen visa - yes.

As noted above, yes - depending on the nationality of your non-British passport.

But of course, as a British citizen you are entitled to a British passport, which would enable you to travel without a visa in the Schengen area.

Switzerland (not, of course, in the Schengen area at present) has an exemption from any short-term visa requirements for holders of a certificate of entitlement to the right of abode in the UK. Denmark used to as well, but I imagine that it does not any longer, since its rules presumably accord with those of other Schengen area countries.
