Hi all,
I've Tier 2 which was issued in December 2012 with SOC Code 2132 and job Title "Programmer".
Now, company wants me to promote to Senior Software Engineer (different job duties), but if I look at new SOC Codes its under SOC Code (2136).
2132 is actually a new soc code for old SOC Code 2136.
Now, do I have to apply for Tier 2 again or not ?
I have looked at Tier 2 policy guidance and it states this para :
200.
A change of employment application is not required for other changes to your job. For
example if:
•
you are remaining with the same employer and change jobs to a different job within the
same SOC code, or you are moving under TUPE (or similar) protection due to a takeover,
merger, de-merger or any other circumstances in which TUPE is triggered.
•
your salary is reduced due to company-wide reductions defined as acceptable in the
Sponsor Guidance, or
•
your salary is reduced due to maternity, paternity, adoption leave, and/or a period of sick
leave that lasted for one month or longer; or
•
changes to your core duties which means your job changes within the same SOC code
(provided your new salary rate is at or above the appropriate rate for the job as set out in
the codes of practice)
