Family visit - Docs checklist and advise

Post by UKPR123 » Fri Mar 14, 2014 9:41 am

Hi members of this forum,

I have just joined this forum on my friends referal. I would like your precious advise on applying Family visit visa for my father.

I am on ILR and earning net salary around 2000 GBP per month.

Documents to show from my side:

1. Photocopy of my Passport and BRP card (attested with Solicitor)
2. My original Payslips for the past 6 months.
3. My Bank Statement for the past 6 months. (Couple of times the balance was in negative in the last 6 months… will this matter?)
4. Photocopy of my UK Driving Licence (attested with Solicitor)
5. As I just moved into 3 bedrooms flat, I don’t have any utility bills. However can I show Council Tax and Utility bills for previous flat?
6. Tenant agreement and No objection letter from landlord.
7. Money Transfer receipts for the past 8 years to show I was in regular contact with my father.
8. Invitation letter stating I would like to invite my father.

Documents to show from my father’s side:

1. His Passport in original
2. Completed visa application form VAF1B
3. His 6 months Bank statements showing he is getting regular income from pension
4. Balance in his savings account is 200,000 Indian Rupees. Will this be enough?
5. One passport sized coloured photograph
6. Evidence of marital status. Is this required?
7. Tax returns
8. Travel booking confirmation and Travel agent letter
9. Letter from the public service office stating the pension amount he is receiving every month.

Please comment on the above list and give your suggestions if anything else is required.

Thanks and Regards,
