Registration with police of my new address

So I moved since Nov 2014, been living in new place till now and I didn't register with the police for my new address. Which is something I should do within 7days, on the certificate of registration it said any failure to report the changes within 7 days could result in either a fine up to £5000 / 6 months imprisonment. Anyone in a smilier situation but manage to get away from it? Or they did charge you money ????

The punishment relate to a summary only offence, and are the maximum not minimum penalties. Have you now registered?
