2 Resident cards? One EEA2 and One French RC ?

Post by YoYohoney » Sun Mar 30, 2014 6:23 am

Hi

I got my Visa in Sep 2013 . EEA2 5 Year visa.
I visited France once on Visit visa. My Wife is from France.
We have to go to france every month or after 2 months atleast because of some family reasons.
So Can I apply for Long Stay visa which works are Resident permit of france ( carte de sejour)

Also If I have resident card of France, Is it going to Effect my EEA2 on which I am properly living and earning in UK?

Please advise

Can a person have 2 Residence permit? One of UK and France at same time.

I am an Indian National.

Non-EEA

hi yes you can have two residence cards at same time but you should know that 6 months residence is required to keep your residence card in a year.
so it will effect your residence card if you are absent over six months .
You may have to fight a battle more than once to win it.
