Tier 2 ICT short term to Tier 2 ICT Long Term

Hi,

I am in LONDON with a Tier 2 ICT Short Term Visa which is going to expire on July15. I want to switch to ICT Tier 2 Long Term VISA.
1) Can I apply for a Tier 2 ICT long term from UK ? Or Do I need to go back to my home country and then apply from there.?
2) In order to apply for Tier 2 ICT long term Visa, do I need to continue with the current employer?
3) How much time will it take for switching?, I have only 3 months of visa validity.

you have to leave the UK before your T2 ICT ST visa expires

I am sorry if you have answered this , but can I try to get a sponsor from a A rated company in UK and switch to ICT Tier 2 Long term VISA within UK.
