ILR QUESTION

this is for my friend
who wanted to get some details about ILR
he came to UK on wp ( Nov 2002 - 7 apr 2004) ie 1.5 yrs ,b4 his wp expired he changed to another company but when the processing was going on he was selected for the defence forces so they gave him a visit visa for 6 months ie on (mar 2004 - sept 2004), they wanted to make sure he has enough time to stay here to join the forces .but by 24 may 2004 he got the wp for his new company so he dropped out of the forces thing , now he is still on the same wp ie as on jun 2007 .


just to conclude

Nov 2002 - 7 apr 2004 - wp
mar 2004 - sept 2004 - visit
24 may 2004 - till date - wp

his ques is he eligible for the ILR,ie this Nov 2007 or whether he has to w8 till 2009 for ILR
pls help

I think his ILR clock got reset on 8th April 2004 under the 5 yr rule, but it's valid under the 10yr rule.

he applied for the second wp on feb 2004 but they rejected the wp application and then he appealed and got it on may 2004
