EEA2 application - help with documents

Post by tata610 » Fri Apr 11, 2014 12:57 pm

Hi all,

I'm currently applying for a EEA2 visa for my husband, who is now in the UK under a Temporary Worker visa.

The problem is that I'm not sure what documents to provide about my employment. I've been looking for a job for the last 2 months, and I'm now registered with 3 tutoring agencies, with whom I'm starting to work this week (as self-employed). I'm also working occasionally for a catering company at events, but obviously this doesn't qualify as a proper full-time job. I also have accepted a full-time teaching job for the summer.

As this is my current situation, do I qualify as employed or jobseeker (since my earnings are not enough at the moment to support myself)? Should I include a bank statement in the application? And what about my recent wage slips, should I include them even if they're literally nothing? Would it be advisable to write a cover letter explaining the situation (that I'm starting to work as partially seld-employed but that I have a job for the summer)? And should I also include my husband's contract and earnings?

Please let me know if you can advise me! I've been trying to call the Home Office for the last 3 days but they always say they're too busy to answer!
