help Guys

Post by abbijunaid » Fri Apr 18, 2014 9:55 pm

This is a question on the behalf of a friend of mine.

She is 35 years old with a 7 year old child. Her husband was born in the UK but lives in south Africa. She met and married him in south africa.

he died a month ago ..he was only 40 years old. I am trying to research the UK rights for her and her son.

I know that the child is automatically a British citizen and a passport can be applied for him but can she also apply for an ILR since she was his wife and the Guardian to this minor.

Please help me know what her rights may be.

Were either of her Grandparents born in the UK?
