TIER 4 'ACADEMIC PROGRESS'

Post by yunseok » Mon May 05, 2014 7:30 pm

Hi,

I'm an international student, i've been studying in the UK with a tier-4 visa - this is my 4th year as I spent my first at the University of Reading but I eventually dropped out because i genuinely hated the campus - i moved to London at Queen Mary university and i'm about to graduate this June. Here is the main issue - i've been studying a BA of 3-years - but now that i'm about to finish i have the desire to study another BA in audio engineering but can't because i'm missing out on the 5 year cap.
Is there a way to appeal against the 'academic progression' required or eventually go out of the country and re-apply from overseas?

Best,

X

Hi Yun

Looks like you have 1 year left of your 5 year limit so you wont have enough time to do another bachelors same rules apply to everyone... you should think about doing a masters its natural progression for you to move from level 6 to level 7 wouldnt this be better for you? Unless you can try and do a 3rd year top up and make the progression complimentary but thats unlikely. Would try and do this course on a masters level ? Be alot better for you.

Thanks
