Got HSMP in May 2006 - Not worked for 1 year - Can I go back

Post by rm_rups » Tue Jun 19, 2007 7:33 pm

I got HSMP in May 2006 and was in UK for 4 months out of which I worked for 2 months. Now I'm in India and need to go back to UK as I have HSMP till MAY 2008.
1. Will I face any problems while entering UK as I have not been working for a year after getting HSMP?
2. Is there a rule which can deny me entry in the UK due to this reason?
3. Do I need a letter from employer if I have to go to UK now in this case? Can I not enter without a job?

Please respond

Thanks

unless the officer knows that you have been out of the country for a significant amount of time, then he shouldn't forbid your entry.
If you renewal application requires you to discuss your absences, then you might run into a problem regarding renewal but in particular ILR eligibility

Immigration officer will always know from my passport stamping that I have been out of country for so long. Will he allow me to entry in that case?
