Switching from Tier 4 (General) to Tier 4 (Dependant) in UK

Hi,

I have encountered my friend's case which is fairly complex.

- Both husband and wife are on Tier 4 General visas
- Husband's visa expiring in August 2014 and Wife's visa expiring in September 2015
- They got married in March 2014 inside UK and both have legal status in the UK.
- Wife got her visa in August 2012 on Level 6 Diploma Course in Business Management (3 years course)
- Admission is in private HTS college and her visa state NO WORK

Can husband switch into Tier 4 Dependant visa inside UK?

(taking into consideration new laws came in October 2013)

He is not eligible for leave as a tier 4 dependent because she is not studying a nqf level 7 plus course of over 12 months at an HEI. The change in the rules in October 2013 doesn't make any difference to this.

Thanks Greenie. I also thought so, but I have seen someone successfully able to switch in above mentioned situation. So, I thought I may be missing something.
