I'm wondering if you could please help me with a question about the EEA4 application for permanent residence.
I am a EU national who's been continuously living in the UK for 5 years:
- I have been working full time for just over 4 and half years since 2009
- I have recently gone back to uni for my master
As a requisite for applying as a student ( for the latest 6 months I have been living in the UK) I need to show proof of comprehensive health insurance. I have a EHIC which was issued in my country and is valid till 2016 - this means it was issued in 2010 while I started living in the UK in 2009.
Can I use my EHIC as a proof of comprehensive health insurance even if it was not valid for the full 5 years I have been living here?
I know I don't need any proof of comprehensive sickness insurance for the time I was working, would this valid EHIC be ok for my latest 6 months as a student or would I need it to have covered the full 5 years?
I'm slightly confused and I'm wondering if anybody else had a similar question

Many thanks!
