Leaving voluntarily, where exactly do i get my passport back

Hello,

My visa application was refused and although i had the right to appeal i decided to leave voluntarily.

I already called the voluntary departure Center and after having an appointment they gave me a letter saying that my passport has been forwarded to the OPR/RFU desk at Heathrow, they advised me to be there 3 hours earlier than my flight but my questions are:

would this desk be open at 4am as my flight is at 7am so i have to do check in at around 5:30/6am?

And where is it located, before or after immigration? It is so confusing and i cant find any informacion about this desk online.

I hope someone can help me with this.

I did but they are not really helpful or clear in any way and that is why i decided it to ask here as i thought someone would be able to advise me.

All you need to do is ask where you have to report and at what times they are able to receive you relative to your departure. Really, if they can't tell you how they operate I don't see how the hearsay of a stranger on a forum would stand in lieu of that.

call heathrow airport contact centre/information desk and ask them, they will be probably able to help you or give you direction or contact number for this 'desk'

once you have sorted it, please do post that information here for others to be used in future
