ILR Qualifying period

Post by LANK9323 » Sat May 31, 2014 9:52 pm

Hi,

I need advise on the following query;

My ILR qualifying period starts from 14th June 2009 and I have a PEO appointment for ILR on 10th of June 2014. As my current visa is up to 2016, One immigration advisor has advised me to postpone my ILR application to complete the full 5 years i.e., up to 14th June 2014.

As per UKBA SET(O) guidance notes, my understanding is we can applying 28 days before completing the qualifying period. Can anyone please clarify whether it is really required to wait for full 5 years or I can apply 4 days before.

Thanks,

Sriram
