Degree taught in English

Hello forum experts,

Apologies if this has been covered before as I'm pretty new to this amazing forum.

I'm preparing my application for the 10 yr ILR, and noticed the following on the HO's website about the prove of knowledge of English:

You’ll need to provide your original degree certificate and 1 of the following:
- a printout from the points-based calculator with the equivalent level of your degree and the level of English
- an original and official certificate from your university confirming the degree was taught or researched in a majority English-speaking country (except Canada)

I did my degree in England which obviously means it was taught only in English... My question is do I still need to get a confirmation from my Uni to prove this?

Seems like an obvious question but I'd be extremely grateful if someone can clarify this for me

In past i asked same question and got reply from different members that if degree is atleast bachelor level and from UK then only degree certificate need to attach, no university confirmation letter or result transcript need and no Naric comparability statement need.

Do keep in mind that the degree needs to be recognized by PBS calculator and printout of the same needs to be attached instead of UK naric letters

In PBS calculator there is no category of long residence then what should select there

here you go you need to have UK naric letter for long residence settlement

They do not need to show a formal speaking and listening qualification. The qualification
must be deemed by UK National Academic Recognition Information Centre (NARIC) to meet
the recognised standard of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or PhD in the UK.

You can accept that a person has a relevant qualification if they provide:

 A printout from the points-based calculator, confirming the equivalent level of the
degree, and that it was taught or researched in English. The printout must show the
degree has been awarded at least 20 points, and an additional 10 points for English
language. Or
 If the degree is not on the points-based calculator:
o An English Language Assessment (ELA) from UK NARIC, which will confirm that the
degree was taught in English. UK NARIC will only issue an ELA where they are
satisfied that the qualification is comparable to a UK Bachelor’s degree. Or
o A Statement of Comparability (SoC) from UK NARIC confirming the qualification is
equivalent to a UK qualification. They must also provide an original letter from the
university or awarding institution on official headed paper, confirming the applicant’s
name, the title of the degree, and that the qualification was taught in English.

You still not got the question. If a person has UK passed degree and now applying long residence ILR then inside points based calculator there is no option of long residence category to select. So in this case what category need to select for getting the print out?

no, uk degree is presumed to be in english

Question is still unresolved that if someone applying on the basis of long residence then what category need to choose from PBS calculator because this category does not appear there? Can a person choose different available categories to get the print out of the degree like 20 points for degree and 10 points for English language?
