Recently we applied for dependent visa through VFS india.
There is no online link to track the application status like earlier as we no longer receiving any application number in format of xxxx/xx/xxxxxx which used to be the case earlier.
Only way is to subscribe for email and SMS alerts which will cost you around INR 100 i guess.
You will get an email/sms initially when the application sent to UKVI decision centre and also couple of notifications in the end to intimate the decision has been given and passport returned back ..
Based on your selection at the start the application wil be available to collect or couriered to your address. If you opted for courier then you can track your parcel through
https://www.bluedart.com/ (By providing Ref no as your application id i.e. GWFXXXXXXXX)
