I am a Mauritian citizen who recently got married in Romania to a Romanian citizen. I am planning to apply for the EEA family permit in order to join my wife in UK. I am worried that because of the timing of our marriage they might refuse my application. My wife went back to UK a week after the marriage because she had to attend few exams ( i have letters proving this) I am currently in Bucharest staying with her family. I am confused whether to apply from Bucharest or Mauritius. Basically I have read that the processing time is longer in Bucharest than Mauritius. This is an issue because I am on a Schengen visa. Furthermore, I would like to double check the documents required for the application. I have enclosed the following documents with my application:
- My passport
- My passport size picture
- My original Romanian wedding certificate which is already in English
- Copy of my wife's passport ( i'm not sure if it needs to be certified)
- Declaration from my wife that i will be joining her in the UK
- Declaration from my wife of our story together
- Proof that my wife is exercising her treaty rights in the UK:
Original contract from my wife's employer
My wife's last 4 payslips
My wife's bank statement from November 2013 till April 2014
My wife's daughter tenancy agreement where we will be living once I get the permit
Invitation letter from my wife to come to Romania
My boarding passes and flight confirmation to Romania
40 pictures of me and my wife including civil ceremony with date, place and comments on the back
Print screens of my Msn messenger 3 weeks before I came to Romania
Print screens of my wife's Facebook page showing pictures of our wedding. ( i don't have Facebook)
1 year joint tenancy agreement of me and my wife when we were in the UK
Reference letter from her daughter and copy of her ID
Reference letter from her sister and copy of her ID
Reference letter from her best friend and copy of her ID
Reference letter from my brother and copy of his ID
I am aware that it might seem a lot but from what I've read in previous posts I am getting a bit worried.
I would really appreciate some advice because I am getting very tensed

Thanking you in anticipation
