Not a dependent, would my wife eligible for ilr along with me

Post by Manoj_Lakhani » Wed Jun 11, 2014 5:18 am

Hi Manci
I came to UK before Apr2010 on Tier2ICT visa and my wife came on her own Tier2ICT visa before Apr2010. I came three months earlier than her and becoming eligible for ILR three months before her.
My Question is can I apply for her ILR along with me though she is not my dependent?
Can she become eligible three months in advance along with me?

Manoj

No, she must apply in her own right after completing the residence period (so 3 months after your own application). If she were to switch her status she would begin a new five year residence period.
