HSMP APPLICATION FROM US

Post by FasuloLE » Tue Jun 26, 2007 1:12 pm

Hi I just submitted my HSMP application from the US. I have 75 points, 45 from salary and 30 for my BA degree. As far as I can tell, I have correctly filled out the application and submitted all original documents. Assuming I am correct, and my application is valid, what do you think the odds are that I will get the Visa? I can't figure out if there is a quota or weighting system that is used to pick the winners (along with the application.) Does nationality, age, etc count for or against you? For the record I am female, white, American citizen and 42 years old.

Hi - no, there's no weighting etc. If you meet the points total, you get it.
I am not, and cannot, offer legal advice to particular people. I can only discuss general areas of immigration law.

People should always consider obtaining professional advice about their own particular circumstances.

How odd: both your moniker as well as your reference to nationality quotas made me think of a certain journalist who wrote a book on the inner workings of the United Nations.

But I assume you are not she. :)
