Cover letter and expired passport

Hi members,

Please could someone help me with a cover letter which we gonna sent along with EEA2 application?

My husbands (non EEA) passport has expired in February and we can't renew it due to problems with home country and embassies being closed. Home Office has seen his passport in January when we sent EEA4 application which was refused.

I would be really grateful if someone could help me.

when applying home office requirement is valid passport ...
why not to renew the passport embassies will not be closed forever . better to renew the passport at some tage you will need the valid passport so renew it now.

If there is a genuine problem then you can sent another form if identity,like ID card or uk driving licence and birth certificate etc.

Thanx for reply. Im not sure if you aware of current situation in Syria. Due to the war there and embassy here closed and thoes abroad not wanting to renew my passport for 6 months trying. Imshzd we sent the application week ago just with the expired passport. In case of caseworker refusing our application we hope they will give us advice what to do in such situation.
