Extending a student visa or getting a partner visa?

Post by Ginjarou » Tue Jun 17, 2014 6:45 pm

Hello all,

My fiance is an international student and has just finished the third and final year of her degree. We were intending to get her a Partner Visa but she has recently had thoughts about continuing her studies at the same college to do a MA.

I was wondering though, is it possible for her to do a MA on a Partner Visa? If we have to extend the student visa she has to give evidence of her financial situation but the Home Office website says 'it depends on your situation' so it is quite vague. I have been supporting her throughout.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

She can take study if she has the partner visa. If you are a British citizen you have to fulfill necessary requirements to sponsor her as your partner. She has to go back her home country and apply from there for partner visa. If she get the visa she can even study part time.
