Family visit visa from India

Hi,

I am currently on tier1 visa (second extension under 3+2 years) due to expire on jan 6, 2015.

I want to apply a family visit visa for my mum as my wife is pregnant and wants to be looked after for a couple of months. Would I be able to apply for a family visit visa for my mum with my status i.e. tier 1 general or do I need to be on an ILR or British Citizen to be able to do that.

Can you also please provide me the links to get all the information on which visa to apply and guidance for that.

Also, with my wife due to deliver baby in October and us due to get ILR in Dec/Jan, when will I be able to apply for an Indian visa for the baby and how long will the application process take.
