Parents Visitor Visa from Pakistan

Hi All

I am on Indefinite Leave (ILR) and applying for my parents visit visa from Pakistan next month.

Could some one please help me in the following;

- I will submit visa application online. Can I email my documents instead of sending the originals?
- Do I need to show sufficient balance in my UK bank account?

I have the following documents for application;
Employer letter
Pay slips
Bank Statements
Rental agreement
Money transfer receipts
