I am British citizen living in UK. If my US fiancé was to move to UK on an inter company vis, would we be able to get married while she is working here and then file for an adjustment of status?
The rules in the UK are a bit different from those in the U.S. You don't have to 'adjust' your status or even inform the UK at all that she is now married. The marriage laws are effectively independent of the immigration laws, so registering for that involves only the local councils rules. She will still be held to her original visa type and all of its conditions. If she wants to change that conditions of her stay based on marriage, then she will apply for a Spouse/Family dependent visa. She can do this from that visa type while remaining in the UK.
