Travelling after course- Experiences

Post by jjglas » Mon Jul 07, 2014 11:52 pm

Hello!

I'm currently in the midst of my masters here in the uk. My dissertation is due mid august and then the course officially ends mid September ( well according to the CAS). My visa expires mid january 2015.

I wanted to travel to europe for a few weeks after my course. BUT i've been told that immigration officers can cancel you visa since your "purposes" have changed. So I would be re-entering the uk either very close to or after the official end date of my course. I don't get my results till November and don't graduate till December

I was hoping to hear other people experiences on this topic.

- Has anyone travelled after submitting their dissertation and come back into the uk after the course end date(or very close to it) ?
Or
- Do you know of anyone who has done this?
- What are the chances that I will be refused entry ?

Would really appreciate some answers/opinions.

Thanks! :)

if your gradation is in December then it shouldn't be a problem as you can tell the immigration officer you went on holidays and now coming back to attend your graduation.
