have just completed my undergraduate studies at Plymouth University and am progressing to my postgraduate studies in September.
My first Query
I arrived UK on 9th Sept 2013 together with my wife, where the IO was asking me irrelevant questions such as why does my wife not having a valid visa. I explained to her that we are from Singapore and being a commonwealth country we are automatically given a 6 months tourist visa. I provided her with my wife's return ticket which was for 2nd March 2013 and was within the 6 months period. After a long question and answer session. She talked to the Chief IO and said that she wasn't satisfied with our explanation and allowed my wife to enter UK with 2 immigration stamp (as per attached picture), where one has 3 alphabets MXW AND 5 DIGITS 17XXX Leave to enter for/until six months and no work or recourse to public funds. Please advise whether this immigration code would affect her dependent visa application which i would apply soon for my postgraduate studies. Would her application be refused due to this stamp?.
My Second Query
Since Singapore is considered a low risk country, is it necessary to provide maintenance funds evidence for my dependent visa application or it would not be necessary during application.
Hope any gurus is willing to help soonest.
