ILR and driving license revocation

Post by nammu » Thu Jul 05, 2007 12:17 pm

Pls can anybody tell me will there be any problem while I apply for ILR if my license is submitted to revocation as i accumulated 6 points before completing my 2 years since i got my driving license.

I have not yet recd anything from DVLA yet, but I am sure that they might disqualify from driving for some period, just bit curious does it matter or impact on my ILR application, I am going to apply in next 10 days.

Thanks

Revocation of a drivers licence under the probationary scheme for new drivers (since 1997) is not a criminal offence. However, you must not drive unaccompanied until your full licence is restored.

If any of the offences which led to disqualification were handled through the courts rather than the fixed penalty scheme, they must be declared. There may be an exemption for "spent" convictions.
