Did anyone follow up on Muazu - the deportee from November?

Post by MPH80 » Sun Aug 03, 2014 7:11 pm

There was quite a stimulated debate on the topic of this individual Muazu who was in UKBA detention and then deported around November/December time.

I've been looking for some time for follow up on him - I had assumed, given the press coverage, some reporter, charity or blogger somewhere would have bothered to travel to Nigeria to track him down and find out how he's doing.

Does anyone know? Has he recovered fully from his hunger strike? Did his prediction of attack from Boko Harem come true in the end? Did he find a way to enter the UK legally?

M.

I believe his case is central to the current investigation - http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/po ... 87161.html

I was really rather hoping to find some follow up on the man rather than the process.

There was a lot of outrage about his situation at the time. Once he was outside of the country - he feels rather forgotten.

It's not an unusual case, there are daily pleas, they're forgotten once deported.

It did not seem like MPH80 cared much at the time. What the sudden interest.

Maybe Mr Mauza has died, what would you care any way. At least he is out of your shores.

Let's not start this over again Obie.

All I want to do is find out what his situation is now. Have you anything to contribute to that?

If you're desperate to know, you could try tweeting his barrister, he was tweeting updates about the case, so if anyone knows, he should.

Or better still, OP can email Boko Aram and enquire about what they have done to him.

From the day Mrs May choose to spend 110,000 of UK tax payers money, and the Nigeria government acted complicity in the removal, it should have been obvious that Mr Mauza's death sentence was been signed

That's actually the sort of thing I'd hope you'd have gotten away from now.

We don't know what's happened to him. We don't know if he's been targeted. We don't know if he's alive and well.

Let's find that out and then be outraged or not as the case may be.
